Stand clear of the closing doors please! Set aboard the New York Subway, this a capella show captures intimate, touching--and often hilarious--musical snapshots of an array of city dwellers, each "between stations" in their lives. An aspiring actress thinking of making her temp job permanent; a perpetually single "nice guy;" a gay man whose mother refuses to let him out of the closet; and a parade of other quirky characters come to life through an eclectic all-vocal score that draws on pop, jazz, hip-hop, country, and even reggae.

06.12.08 | Sara's song "Women Leave" Featured in BMI Showcase, June 12
The Drama League, Drama Desk and Tony®-honored BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop announces the biannual Showcase of new songs from Workshop writers. The event will be held at the Jerry Orbach Theatre in the Snapple Theatre Center, 210 West 50th Street, June 12 at 5:00pm and is for members of the entertainment industry only. The Showcase is made possible by a generous grant from the Cameron Mackintosh Foundation.

Sara's song "Women Leave" (with composer Linda Dowdell) to be sung by Adam Overett & Mick Bleyer; Craig Baldwin on piano.

Sara will also perform in "I Do What I Do", by Fred Thaler and Robert Yarnall.

Sara's a cappella musical, IN TRANSIT (co-written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, James-Allen Ford, Greg Christopher, Russell Kaplan, & Karla Momberger), has been selected for the 2008 Eugene O'Neill National Music Theater Conference.

The National Music Theater Conference was established in 1978. Since then, more than one hundred works have been developed. Many of the creators have gone on to win prestigious awards, and their works and subsequent works have received acclaimed recognition in opera houses, Broadway, off-Broadway and New York and regional theaters worldwide.

NEO4, the fourth in a series of annual benefit concerts took place on Monday May 19th, 2008 at the Theatre at Saint Peter’s, 619 Lexington Avenue (on 54th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues). Following a 6:30 pm “Summertime Soiree” supper and silent auction, the show began at 8:30 pm and featured the voices of many of today’s most exciting musical theatre talents.

The BMI Lehman Engel Workshop will bring selections from new musicals to eager fans through a series of weekly podcasts, entitled "Fridays at Four", beginning Jan. 18. The 20-episode series will air Friday afternoons at 4 PM on BMI's website. The weekly podcasts will include performances and interviews with the songwriters and Broadway performers, hosted by composer, lyricist, and Broadway performer Jeff Blumenkrantz.

Sara has been cast as the leading role in Once Upon a Mattress this August at Chautauqua Opera, in Chautauqua, NY. The musical will be directed by Jay Lesenger, and conducted by Braden Toan.

Musical Mondays Theatre Lab has announced its spring '07 season season, featuring new work from the 2006 Tony-honored BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

On Monday, March 12th, two new mini-musicals will be presented. THE MITZVAH ON MADISON AVENUE", billed as a "Spiritual Comic Tale," features music by Carl J. Danielsen and lyrics by Sara Wordsworth. The Rubberers, based on O. Henry's "A Comedy in Rubber," features book and lyrics by Matthew Hardy and music by Robert Maggio, and Sara will perform in the ensemble of this piece.


02.15.07 | Sara & Linda Dowdell's song featured in BMI Spring "Smoker"
Sara, composer Linda Dowdell, and bookwriter Michael Hidalgo presented "Our Chit-Chat Hour", from their new musical inspired by a science fiction account of book-burning in the present day. Sara performed the song with Susan Derry (Wonderful Town) and Patti Perkins (The Full Monty).

The Smoker, now entering its tenth season, is modeled after informal social gatherings at Cambridge University where the Workshop's two time Tony® Award winning writer Maury Yeston performed his songs during his undergraduate days. Previous smoker participants include Best Musical Tony® Award winners Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx (Avenue Q), Nancy Ford and Gretchen Cryer (I'm Getting My Act Together…, American Girl Revue), Eric Rockwell and Joann Bogart ( The Musical of Musicals, The Musical) and Amanda Green and Tom Kitt (High Fidelity).

Eleven new musicals and twenty-one BMI Workshop writers were represented.


01.24.07 | "FINDING NEMO, THE MUSICAL" Hits iTunes Store; Sara voices "Darla"
The musical version of the animated film "Finding Nemo" — from Tony Award-winning Avenue Q composer Robert Lopez and wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez — is now available through Apple's iTunes.

Sara's vocals can be heard throughout, including the voices of Darla and Pearl, as well as in the live stage version at Walt Disney World, which opened at Disney's Animal Kingdom in November 2006.


11.13.06 | Sara & James-Allen Ford song opens Hot Mamas! Cabaret Nov. 13
The third presentation of the cabaret property Hot Mamas!, featuring three pregnant actresses singing about impending motherhood, will play Manhattan's Symphony Space Nov. 13.

Hot Mamas! includes original songs by Bobby Lopez, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Emily Schiff-Glenn, Gavin Creel, Amanda Yesnowitz, Deborah Abramson, Jill Abramovitz, Brad Alexander, Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Tesha Buss, Sara Wordsworth, James Allen Ford, Steve Marzullo, Brent Lord, Todd Almond, Bill Augustin, Andy Abrams, Leslie Becker, Georgia Stitt, Denver Casado and Betina Hershey.

Sara wrote lyrics for the opening number, "While I Wait" with composer James-Allen Ford.
